The region around Kaprun and Piesendorf is a real paradise for cyclists. Between Lake Zell and the mountains of the Hohe Tauern there are numerous cycle paths for leisurely rides, sporty tours and varied mountain bike adventures. Tauern cycle path

The Tauern cycle path is one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Austria and also leads through Piesendorf. The route runs mostly flat along the Salzach and is ideal for leisurely bike tours or family trips.

There are always nice places to take a break along the way. From Piesendorf you can easily cycle towards Zell am See or Mittersill and enjoy the impressive landscape of the Pinzgau.

Around Lake Zell

A particularly popular tour leads around Lake Zell. The approximately 12 kilometer long route is varied and always offers beautiful views of the water and the surrounding mountains.

Several beaches and cafés along the way invite you to take a break. The tour is ideal for families or for a relaxing bike ride in the afternoon.

Kaprun Valley and Klammsee

A beautiful tour leads from Kaprun towards Klammsee and further into the Kaprun Valley. The path runs through forests and along the Kapruner Ache and always offers impressive views of the surrounding mountains.

The Klammsee is ideal for a break. Here you can enjoy nature, take a walk around the lake or simply experience the tranquility of the mountain landscape.

Maiskogel and Alpine tours

For ambitious cyclists, the mountains around Kaprun offer numerous mountain bike routes. The tours to the Maiskogel or to the surrounding alpine pastures are particularly popular.

The routes lead along forest paths and alpine roads up to panoramic points with impressive views of the Kitzsteinhorn and the Salzach Valley. Many of these tours can also be easily done with an e-bike and offer a perfect combination of exercise, nature and panorama.
